II Seminário Nacional de Juventude Indígena






Jovens indígenas vindos de todo o país chegaram à Brasília neste domingo, dia 25, para representarem seus povos no II Seminário Nacional de Juventude Indígena. O encontro que tem início nesta segunda, dia 26, e vai até o o dia 30 de novembro, reúne mais de uma centena de jovens líderes, além de entidades parceiras, autoridades do governo e convidados. 

Entre os principais objetivos está a mobilização e articulação da juventude indígena na defesa dos direitos de seus povos. A abertura e o primeiro dia do evento serão na Universidade de Brasília (UnB) e as demais atividades no Centro de Formação Vicente Cañas, em Luziânia- GO, há apenas alguns quilômetros da capital.

Na pauta de debates algumas das principais questões que afetam os povos indígenas na atualidade. A história e as perspectivas do movimento indígena também serão abordadas, além dos grandes empreendimentos, a demarcacão de terras e os territórios, educação, saúde, esporte e cultura. Mais informações sobre os debates, mesas redondas, palestras e grupos de trabalho na programação abaixo.

 A Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil apóia o evento e acredita que a participação de jovens lideranças é essencial para o fortalecimento e o futuro do movimento indígena brasileiro. Saudamos a comissão organizadora e todos aqueles envolvidos em uma iniciativa tão importante.
